Annamaiah says in this song that only the name of Venkatesa protects us from all difficulties, provides food, shelter, and security, and that even by chance, there is no other way.

 Some want to know the spiritual truths only after their thirst for physical desires is satiated. How can one become spiritual unless he is free from woridly cravings? As long as there is attachment to body desires grow. How can then one enjoys real bliss?
